The Latest UFO Disclosure

It has been widely reported lately that the US Government has acknowledged the existence of UFOs, or in the current vernacular, UAPs (Unidentified Aerial Phenomena).  This news has created quite a stir among the general public of late.  I’ve joked on social media that next up after Covid was the alien invasion.  Please note that this is being written prior to the release of the Pentagon’s 180-day investigative report, due out late June 2021.

Those who are believers and those who are agnostic on the topic have varying degrees of interest in what the report will contain.  Early leakage of the information, principally brought forth by Lue Elizondo, the former head of the Pentagon’s AATIP (Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program) and the topic’s biggest public facing expert, has indicated that the UAP phenomena are real, and perhaps the largest revelation, the technology is not ours.

In a nutshell, all of this is a non-burger.  It’s not news.  The US Government in truth has already acknowledged the reality of the phenomena.  On July 31, 1952 Major General John Samford gave a press conference after a flap of UFOs buzzed the Capitol district a few days prior.  He acknowledged that the phenomenon was real, but it posed no threat to national security.  Nothing to see here.

Officially, the government stopped its investigation after that.  Yet the sightings continued, and so did the quiet investigation of the phenomena.

Since the 40s and 50s, it was widely believed that full disclosure would resort in a mass panic and a general breakdown of order.  Governmental anxiety over loss of control.

Many believe that the government quietly began engaging in a subtle multi-decade indoctrination program to gradually warm us up to the possibility of things of non-human origin.  All so people wouldn’t freak out by a sudden full disclosure.

In the early 90s, for a brief time I sat on the Board of Directors of Operation Right To Know, a grass roots organization dedicated to compelling the US Government, through peaceful demonstration to release the information it was withholding on the topic of UFOs.  This group fizzled out after conducting demonstrations at the White House, Pentagon, UN Headquarters in New York and others.  We were naive then.  It was a predecessor to the more formal project from Dr. Steven Greer, who runs the Disclosure Project.  That group uses less of a grass roots approach and works more through media channels.

Both groups, while so far not successful in their original intent, still may have played a significant role in the indoctrination process.

Although I doubt that we will see a true full disclosure in the coming days, at least what many are expecting, it’s another step in the process.  We’ll likely hear a reboot of Major General Samford’s 1952 statement; yes, they’re real, we don’t know what they are, and they’re not ours.

It’s my belief that the political/military/security factions of the governmental body  might still be very much interested in the national security concerns posed by the phenomena.  Politically speaking, the assertion that they’re not ours (which may be technically correct, but likely a semi-obfuscation of the truth) plays into the anti-globalist paranoia that it purports that its origins could be from Russia, China, or another bogeyman state.

Militarily and security-wise, it wouldn’t be smart to just shrug our shoulders and say nothing to see here.  But there is clearly something to see.  With the ubiquity of cell phone camera technology, we’re seeing more and more than just anecdotal evidence.

While this official information is being officially spoon fed to us mere mortals, it is further my opinion that we’re about to engage in the next phase of the multi-generational indoctrination program.  Officially, the leaked information indicates that there’s no evidence that this is extraterrestrial technology, but it doesn’t rule it out.  It’s saying “maybe.”

I think Mr. Elizondo et al are less concerned about mass panic, and more so by technological understanding by the general public.  We’ve been barraged with 40s-era understanding that these are doctors or scientists from another planet, or space brothers, or even worse, hideous beings from another planet who want to wipe us out.  All purely physical stuff.  This is his first step in expanding our horizons as to other possibilities; to open us up to the notion that these phenomena are not only beyond our understanding, they’re beyond our capability of understanding en masse.  Elizando has been on an interminable media tour lately, and has just as much said that, invoking quantum physics and possible interdimensionality of this phenomenon.  Admitting the possibility that these dudes might not be from thousands of light-years away from their physical planet, it might even be of terrestrial origin, or weirder.  It’s actually good science; so far it can only be defined by what it is not.

Before we can understand the genesis of these phenomena, we have to have a deeper understanding of physics and consciousness.  To a person who only knows a hammer, everything’s a nail.  We’ve been in the space age in recent decades, so they’re all spacemen, and we always need a bogeyman.

We need to expand our toolbox, and this is likely the next step in our understanding

But for now, nothing to see here, keep moving along.  Don’t get your hopes up on true full disclosure just yet.  We probably wouldn’t understand it anyway.
